Next Steps in the Waterfront Park Design Process
Design Review Board meeting to be held on February 24 in the Council Chambers; public is encouraged to attend.
Design work for Bainbridge Island's Waterfront Park has continued at a rapid clip since the conclusion of the January workshop series. On January 15, City Council provided the go-ahead for the Studio Cascade consultant team to proceed with refining the park and dock design, working towards a "30% design" set of drawings for the entire park.
On February 24, the Studio Cascade team will present a 15% master plan design at a special meeting of the Design Review Board (DRB). Community members are invited to attend the DRB meeting, which will be held in the Council Chambers from 2:00-5:00 p.m. The agenda will include an opportunity for public comment.
On February 26, the City Council will review the 15% master plan design, which will include input received at the DRB meeting. The consultant team will then move on to 30% design, which will be presented to the DRB and community on March 31.The Council is expected to review and approve 30% design in mid-April.
