Project Overview
The Annual Drainage program works to improve drainage conditions on the Island through small drainage improvement projects including, but not limited to, culvert repairs and replacement of aging storm drain lines that carry storm runoff from one side of the road to the other. Work this year also includes repair of existing storm culverts, addition of new drainage pipes, landscape mitigation, manhole structure repairs, ditch work, etc. The benefits of the proposed projects are to reduce possible flooding and/or pipe failures in the future.
Update:
April - Construction is expected to begin Mid-April with the Kallgren Road NE site, weather permitting. Following the Kallgren site, the Contractor will move on to the next site(s); see location map below. The only work not completed in sequential order will be paving which will occur at the end of the drainage work.
The 2021 Annual Drainage project includes repairs to the drainage systems at localized points on Seaborn Road with bid alternates, see below. The award will be based upon what the bid results are and budget.
See below base bid + alternates:
March - City Engineers and Seton Construction performed a site visit to familiarize the Contractor with each project location and to discuss any potential questions in order to simplify the construction process.
