Country Club Bulkhead Spot Repairs

Country Club

Project Overview

The project consists of the repair of the bulkhead wall with multiple sections of emergency repair work occurring along 1,200 linear feet and five years of environmental mitigation.

Project Status Update

April 2024 - The City received the finalized permits for the emergency work that was completed in 2021. Army Corps of Engineers and NOAA require additional after-the-fact mitigation work that will be performed over the next 5 years to meet the obligation for environmental mitigation and offset for the impacts of the emergency bulkhead work.

December 2023- The City continued to work with the Army Corps of Engineers and NOAA to fully permit the after-the-fact required mitigation for the emergency repair work that was completed.

November 2021 - The City completed emergency repairs to the portions of the failing revetment where construction access was granted by adjacent property landowners.  Authorization of full repairs to the revetment is still pending permitting.

July 24, 2020, the Army Corps of Engineers authorized emergency spot repairs to only six sections of the existing failed rock revetment, totaling 290 linear feet.
