Background

In 2023, the City of Bainbridge Island was selected as one of nine cities to participate in City Thread’s technical assistance program designed to help fast-forward the build-out of mobility networks. 

Bainbridge Island received Accelerated Mobility Playbook (AMP) technical assistance from City Thread with a community-specific mobility audit of the current state of practice and an action plan to strengthen community partnerships.

City Thread Report

The playbook is divided into 3 phases:

Phase 1 recommends an audit of the city’s current state of practice and an action plan for improved implementation and partnership.

Phase 2 recommends the work should build a diverse coalition of community supporters and launch a supportive media campaign.

Phase 3 recommends developing a process for rapid project delivery and accelerate the construction of complete mobility networks.
