City Seeking Input on Intersection Improvements at Sportsman Club Rd & New Brooklyn Rd

Sportsman Club Rd and New Brooklyn Rd Intersection

A public meeting will be held on Thursday, October 18 to discuss improvements at the Sportsman Club Road and New Brooklyn Road intersection, an area near Woodward Middle School, Sakai Intermediate School and the Coppertop Park Business Complex that is often congested with cars and buses coming and going.

The meeting will be held 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Woodward Middle School Commons, located at 9125 Sportsman Club Road.

City staff and a consultant will discuss the proposed project that will be designed to relieve current and future congestion. The intersection improvements could include a roundabout, sidewalks and bike lanes.

The City received grant funding in the amount of $679,840 for construction of the Sportsman Club Road and New Brooklyn Road Intersection Improvement Project.

If you can’t attend the meeting and would like to provide your input, please email Project Manager Chris Munter at
