ORDINANCE NO. 2019-40

 Adopting a Temporary Moratorium on
Self-Service Storage Facilities


TUESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2020

                YOU ARE NOTIFIED that the Bainbridge Island City Council will conduct a public hearing on January 14, 2020, to receive public comment in person or in writing on Ordinance No. 2019-40, imposing a temporary six-month moratorium on the acceptance of certain development related to self-storage facilities; setting forth findings of fact in support of this moratorium; imposing the moratorium; stating the effect on vested rights; providing for exclusions; recognizing that a public hearing will be held within 60 days (i.e., this public hearing); authorizing interpretative authority; providing for severability; declaring an emergency; setting the duration; and establishing an immediate effective date.


                The public hearing will be held as part of the regular City Council meeting which begins at 6:00 p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers, 280 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island, WA  98110. 


            If you are unable to attend, comments may be submitted to the City Clerk via hand-delivery, first class mail, or by email at cityclerk@bainbridgewa.gov. Written comments may be submitted until the closure of the public hearing on January 14, 2020, unless otherwise extended by the City Council.
