Bench Warrant Quash

As an alternative to having to wait for a court hearing to quash your warrant, you may be eligible to quash your warrant at the court office during normal business hours with payment of a $50 non-refundable administrative fee per case, or if you have warrants on multiple cases a $100 non-refundable administrative fee to quash warrants on all cases. This is a one time opportunity. If you have previously quashed a warrant at the counter, you will not be eligible to do so for future warrants.

You will also need to sign a promise to appear for a future court date in person at that time.

To be eligible to have your bench warrant quashed administratively:

1) You cannot have more than two previous warrants on the same case. If you have three or more warrants on your case, you must appear for a hearing in person to quash your warrant.

2) Your warrant has to be $5,000 or under. Any warrant $5,001 or over requires personal appearance at a hearing to quash your warrant.

3) You must come in person to the court office during our business hours and speak with a clerk.

4) You must be able to pay the warrant quash fee by check, cash or credit/debit card at that time. No payment plans for the warrant quash fee are allowed. If you are unable to pay the warrant quash fee, please contact the Court for instructions on quashing your warrant at the next available court date.

**Defendants who live out of state, or a significant distance from the court and who are requesting their warrant be quashed via mail or email, will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Judge.

Other options for quashing your warrant are:

1) Post bail/bond for the total amount of the warrant.

2) Report to Jail and turn yourself in on the warrant.
