Volunteer with the City of Bainbridge Island

Water Quality and Flow Monitoring Program and Murden Cove Watershed Nutrient and Bacteria Reduction Project
Volunteers will assist with activities such as water sampling, sediment sampling and flow and physiochemistry measurements. City staff will provide training. For more information contact Cami Apfelbeck, Program Manager at 206.780.3779.

Kiosk and Dock Host
The Kiosk and Dock Host greets visitors and assists guests and boaters. K-4BoysandGirls The volunteer helps guests feel comfortable and welcome by answering questions and providing assistance to boaters. For more information contact Tami Allen, Harbormaster at 206.786.7627.

Emergency Flotilla
The Emergency Flotilla is a roster of individuals and their boats that are willing to serve in the event of an emergency. Their duties are to take volunteer requests from the Emergency Operation Center and carry them out on the waters of the City and adjoining waters in King and Kitsap County. Bike to School Day
Volunteers will join the Bainbridge Island Police Department in escorting  K-4BoysandGirls children on bicycles to and from school on Friday, May  15. Volunteers may also assist in handing out treats or performing helmet and brief bike safety checks. For more information contact Officer Carla Sias at 206.780.4663.
2015 Volunteer Celebration

The City of Bainbridge Island and the Bainbridge Community Foundation once again co-sponsored the Bainbridge Island Volunteer Week Celebration. This year, BI Volunteer Week (April 12-18) included activities throughout the week including free trainings and a celebratory event.
