City Dock Improvement Project
Description
The project is to renovate and expand the 1986 guest moorage dock and launch ramp in Eagle Harbor. The objectives of the project are to improve ADA access and general accessibility on the dock; expand moorage for visiting boats; and expand tie up for launching and retrieving motorized, trailered boats. In general, the project expands the float system and boat ramp to allow for improved boater experience, increased accessibility, fewer environmental impacts, and access to upland amenities.  
  
  • CLOSURE NOTICE:  The existing dock and boat launch ramp will be closed until January 2018.
  • OVERNIGHT WORK:  Will occur December 4th through the 8th to install ramp and utility extensions during low tides.   11/21/17 Press Release

Current Activity


  • Floats and pilings are being manufactured.
  • Ramp extension, utility lines, and floats are tentatively scheduled for installation in December 2017.
  • Float utilities and appurtenances tentatively scheduled for installation January/February 2018.
