Wardwell Road Reconstruction & Drainage Project
(from Sportsman Club Road to Triple Crown Drive)

The Wardwell Reconstruction project provides for roadway surface reconstruction and storm drainage improvements.  The City received Department of Ecology (DOE) grant funds for the design of the storm water quality improvements and a fish passage culvert at Woodward Creek.  


  • 02/13/18 City Council meeting.  The City received a neighborhood petition requesting speed humps on Wardwell Road.  This topic will be discussed at the February 13th Business Meeting.

  • 12/11/17 - Paving completed.

  •  11/14/17 – Roadway paving and associated preparation is the last major work item to be completed on the Wardwell Project. 

  • Construction in progress.
  • Construction preparation and mobilization - September 11, 2017
  • Construction Award - August 22, 2017 Council Meeting
  • Advertisement for Bids - July 2017
  • During working hours, traffic will be 1-lane with flaggers; when fish culvert is being installed, there will be a 2-way stop.
  • Anticipated completion date is December.
