The City of Bainbridge Island has been undertaking its Comprehensive Plan Update in accordance with the Washington State Growth Management Act (GMA) governed by RCW 36.70A. Comprehensive Plans establish the vision for how a community wishes to grow and the features it wishes to preserve for the next 20 years.

There have been  many opportunities to be involved throughout the process including Visioning and Element workshops, Planning Commission meetings and providing public comment.  We suggest you sign-up for emails to stay informed about Navigate Bainbridge and click on the document links below to see how your input has shaped the City of Bainbridge Island's Vision for itself in 2036.

The Planning Commission has scheduled two Open Houses in combination with Public Hearings on September 17, 2016 and September 22, 2016.  Please click here for more information.

Draft Ordinance 2016-29 adopts the 2016 Comprehensive Plan update.

Draft Ordinance 2016--30 amends Bainbridge Island Municipal Code for consistency with the 2016 Comprehensive Plan update.

Required State Environmental Policy Act Review documents have been published in combination with the Notice of Public Hearing.
