Description: The Annual Sewer Mains Preservation Program addresses system-wide sanitary sewer preservation projects. Specific projects are determined on an annual basis. Typical projects include repair and/or replacement of aging infrastructure pipe, inflow-infiltration (I&I) elimination, manhole repair, etc. Typical repairs are due to aging infrastructure in general as well as root intrusion, sulfide damage, corrosion, and damage caused by fats, oils, and grease (FOG).
The 2015/16 budgets include approximately $150,000 annually for design & construction.
Proposed work for 2015 may include repairs and/or replacement to Lynwood Center pump station, Lynwood Center force main, and Madrone/Irene gravity mains.
