Construction began on April 15th and is anticipated to be completed in August 2019.
Construction contract was awarded at the February 26, 2019 City Council meeting.

June 14, 2016 - Design concept change approved by City Council.
January 2015 - Preliminary design started.

September 23, 2014 Business Meeting  - At the September 23, 2014 City Council meeting, Council approved the NMTAC recommendation for the Alternative 1 design approach which includes an innovative dedicated left-turn bike lane. Council also approved a budget amendment to complete Phase 1 of the design and requested staff to apply for a State Pedestrian and Bicycle grant in 2016 to support Phase 2 of the project.

September 16, 2014 Study Session - The City Council forwarded the Alternative 1 recommendation to the September 23, 2014 Business Meeting.
